The Department of AIDS successfully organized a Workshop on “Skills That Get You Hired” for Third-Year and Final-Year students. The session was designed to help students understand the essential technical and professional skills required to succeed in today’s competitive job market.
The workshop was delivered by Dr. V. Karthikeyan, Senior Associate – Backend Developer, Cognizant Technology Solutions. Drawing from his extensive industry experience, he shared valuable insights into current recruitment trends, technical competencies, problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and the importance of continuous learning for career growth.
During the interactive session, students gained practical guidance on resume building, interview preparation, aptitude and coding assessments, workplace expectations, and strategies for improving employability. The speaker also encouraged students to develop a growth mindset, strengthen their technical foundations, and actively engage in upskilling opportunities to enhance their career prospects.
