










Our II and III Year Mechanical Engineering students visited the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC), Royapettah, Chennai, on 13 March 2025. The visit provided valuable hands-on exposure to vehicle maintenance, workshop operations, fleet management, and modern transportation practices, helping students connect classroom learning with real-world industrial applications.
A meaningful step towards experiential learning and industry readiness!
The Department successfully organized a Two-Day Workshop on “Vehicle Operated with Three Fuels Technology: Design & Practical Demonstration” in association with NTLS Consultancy Service, Chennai, on 07 August 2025 and 08 August 2025.




The workshop was designed to provide students with practical knowledge of multi-fuel vehicle technology, enabling them to understand the design, operation, and performance of vehicles powered by three different fuel sources. Industry experts explained the latest advancements in alternative fuel technologies, sustainable transportation, and energy-efficient vehicle systems.
A major highlight of the program was the live practical demonstration, where students observed the working principles, fuel-switching mechanisms, engine performance, and safety features of a three-fuel vehicle. The hands-on sessions enhanced participants’ technical understanding and encouraged innovation in the field of automotive engineering.
The workshop served as an excellent platform for students to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world applications, equipping them with valuable industry-oriented knowledge and practical skills in emerging vehicle technologies.

The II and III Year Mechanical Engineering students visited Carborundum Universal Pvt. Ltd. (CUMI), Thiruvottiyur, on 14 August 2025 as part of the Industrial Exposure Programme. The visit offered valuable insights into advanced manufacturing processes, quality control systems, production planning, and industrial safety practices, enriching students’ practical knowledge and industry exposure.
Learning Beyond the Classroom | Building Future Engineers

The II and III Year Mechanical Engineering students visited Aero Knotz Drones India Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, on 23 August 2025 as part of the Industrial Exposure Programme. Students gained practical exposure to drone design, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and real-world applications of UAV technology across various industries. The visit provided valuable industry insights and inspired students to explore emerging technologies in aerospace and drone engineering.
A Guest Lecture on Quality Control and Reverse Engineering was conducted by Mr. Selvin Immanuel, Quality Engineer, SIS Institute of Technology, Chennai, on 26.09.2025.


The session provided valuable insights into the fundamentals of quality control processes and the principles of reverse engineering used in modern industries. The speaker explained real-time industrial practices, quality assurance techniques, and methods used to analyze and improve existing product designs.
Students gained practical exposure to industry standards and learned how quality control plays a crucial role in manufacturing and product development. The session was highly interactive and helped bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial applications.

The II and III Year Mechanical Engineering students visited Western Thomson India Pvt. Ltd., SIPCOT, Gummidipoondi, on 18 March 2026 as part of the Industrial Exposure Programme. Students gained valuable hands-on exposure to manufacturing processes, quality assurance, industrial automation, and modern production practices through interactions with industry professionals.
Bridging Classroom Learning with Industrial Excellence!
A Seminar on “World Entrepreneurs Day” was conducted by Mr. Nigamanandha Sarma, Senior Analyst, Capgemini India, and an alumnus of the 2017–2021 batch.


The session highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship, innovation, and startup culture in today’s competitive world. The speaker shared his industry experience and journey from academia to the corporate sector, motivating students to develop creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
Students gained valuable insights into entrepreneurial opportunities, career growth strategies, and the skills required to succeed in the IT and business industry. The seminar was highly interactive and inspiring for aspiring entrepreneurs.
