T.J.S. Engineering College Recognized for Contribution to India Book of Records Achievement

The Department of MBA, T.J.S. Engineering College, is proud to announce its contribution to a remarkable national achievement recognized by the India Book of Records through its active participation in the Largest Investment-Focused Financial Literacy Campaign for Female Participants, organized by Mirae Asset Mutual Fund.

This nationwide initiative, conducted from 12 January 2026 to 26 January 2026, successfully empowered 69,133 girl students with essential financial literacy and investment awareness through 521 structured educational sessions across 45 cities and 330 educational institutions in India. The campaign has been officially recognized by the India Book of Records for its exceptional scale and impact.

In recognition of its valuable support and commitment to the success of this initiative, T.J.S. Engineering College received a Certificate of Appreciation from Mirae Asset Mutual Fund. The recognition reflects the institution’s dedication to promoting financial literacy and fostering responsible financial decision-making among young learners.

VALUE ADDED COURSE


The Department of Management Studies organized a Value Added Course on Power BI for first-year MBA students from 16th to 22nd April 2026, conducted by Mr. Vijay Anand. The course provided hands-on training in data importing, transformation, dashboard creation, report generation, data modeling, and visualization. Students gained practical knowledge of business analytics and learned how Power BI supports data-driven decision-making, enhancing their analytical, technical, and employability skills.

Industrial Visit to Aavin Dairy Plant, Madhavaram – Practical Exposure to Dairy Operations and Supply Chain Management

The Department of MBA organized an Industrial Visit to the Aavin Dairy Plant, Madhavaram, on 23rd February 2026 to provide students with practical exposure to dairy production and supply chain operations. Students learned about milk procurement, quality testing, pasteurization, packaging, cold chain management, and distribution. Industry experts explained quality assurance, food safety, and logistics practices. The visit enhanced students’ understanding of operations management, supply chain processes, and real-world industrial practices.

Inter-Collegiate Cultural Fest 2026 – A Celebration of Talent, Creativity, and Cultural Diversity with 430+ Participants

The Department of Management Studies successfully organized an Inter-Collegiate Cultural Fest on 30th January 2026, with 430 students from 20 Arts and Science colleges across Chennai and nearby regions. The event provided a vibrant platform for students to showcase their talents, creativity, leadership, teamwork, and cultural diversity through competitions such as dance, singing, mime, skit, fashion walk, drawing, and other cultural events. The fest concluded with a valedictory ceremony, where winners were honored with trophies, medals, and certificates for their outstanding performances.

Investor Education and Awareness Program for Girl Students – Enhancing Financial Literacy in Collaboration with Mirae Asset & CIEL

The Department of Management Studies organized an Investor Education and Awareness Program for Girl Students on 22nd January 2026 in collaboration with Mirae Asset Investment Managers (India) Pvt. Ltd. and the Centre for Investment Education and Learning (CIEL). The programme enhanced students’ financial literacy by covering savings, investment planning, mutual funds, risk management, digital investing, and investor protection. The interactive session encouraged informed financial decision-making and empowered students to develop responsible financial habits for their future.

Industrial Visit to Chennai Port Harbour – Practical Exposure to Logistics, Supply Chain, and International Trade Operations

The Department of MBA, TJS Engineering College, organized an Industrial Visit to Chennai Port Harbour on 20th January 2026 for first-year MBA students. The visit provided practical exposure to logistics and supply chain management, covering port operations, cargo handling, warehousing, customs procedures, container management, and international trade. Industry experts shared insights into logistics operations and career opportunities, while also expressing support for internship and placement opportunities. The visit effectively bridged the gap between classroom learning and industry practices.

BIZINFI 2K25 MBA Symposium – A Platform for Innovation, Leadership, and Talent Showcase with 150+ Participants

The Department of MBA successfully organized BIZINFI 2K Symposium on 29th October 2025, with around 150 participants from various colleges. The symposium featured 10 events that showcased students’ academic, technical, entrepreneurial, and creative talents. Mr. Sunny John Abraham, the Chief Guest, inspired participants with his industry insights and motivational address. The event promoted experiential learning, leadership, teamwork, and innovation, reflecting the department’s commitment to developing future management professionals.

Workshop on “How Behaviour Defines Your Career” – Interactive Session with Mock Interview and Skill Development

Workshop II – “How Behaviour Defines Your Career” was organized by the Department of MBA on 15th October 2025. The session was conducted by Ms. Nageshwari as the Chief Guest and resource person. She highlighted the importance of attitude, communication, emotional intelligence, and professional behaviour in career success. An interactive mock interview was conducted for all students, followed by personalized feedback to improve their confidence, communication, and employability skills. The workshop provided valuable insights into personal and professional development.

The Department of MBA organized an Industrial Visit to Lotte India on 7th October 2025 to provide students with practical exposure to the FMCG industry. Students learned about manufacturing, quality control, production, packaging, inventory, supply chain management, and marketing practices. Industry experts explained the production process, quality standards, safety measures, and distribution network. The interactive session helped students gain practical knowledge, clarify their doubts, and understand real-world business operations, thereby enhancing their managerial and professional skills.

MBA Academic Year Inauguration with Corporate Expert Dr. Palavesan Murugan

The Department of MBA organized the Inauguration Ceremony for the academic year on 27th September 2025. The programme was graced by Dr. Palavesan Murugan, Corporate Professional from Ashok Leyland, as the Chief Guest. He presented badges to 10 student office bearers and delivered an inspiring address on leadership, corporate expectations, professional ethics, and career development. His motivational session encouraged students to enhance their skills, embrace continuous learning, and prepare for successful careers in the corporate world.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT

The Department of MBA organized an Industrial Visit to the Coca-Cola manufacturing plant on 4th September 2025 for 70 MBA students, accompanied by 4 faculty members. The visit was arranged to provide students with practical exposure to manufacturing operations, supply chain management, quality control processes, production planning, logistics, and marketing practices followed by a leading multinational beverage company. During the visit, the officials explained the end-to-end production process, quality assurance standards, packaging techniques, and distribution network adopted by Coca-Cola. The students actively interacted with the industry experts, clarified their queries, and gained valuable insights into real-world business operations. The industrial visit successfully bridged the gap between classroom learning and industry practices, enhancing the students’ managerial knowledge and practical understanding of modern manufacturing and business operations.
