INSTITUTION-INDUSTRY CELL

An Initiative of MHRD/MOE–Central  government of India is the INSTITUTION-INDUSTRY CELL (IIC) – a part of the MIC –

Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell. This IIC is a council established in all HEI’s for the empowerment of students in innovation, entrepreneurship, internship, social media IPR activities. The primary mandate of MIC is to encourage, inspire and nurture young students by supporting them to work with new ideas and transform them into prototypes while they are informative years. MIC has envisioned encouraging creation of Institution’s Industry Cell across selected HEI’s. A network of these IICs will be established to promote innovation in the institution through multitudinous modes leading to an innovation promotion eco-system in the campus.

FUNCTIONS OF IIC

  • To conduct various innovation and entrepreneurship-related activities prescribed by Central MIC in time bound fashion.
    • Identify and reward innovations and share success stories
    • Organize periodic Workshops/ Seminars/ Interactions with entrepreneurs, investors, professionals and create a mentor pool forstudent innovators.
    • Network with peers and national entrepreneurship development organizations
    • Create an Institution’s Innovation portal to highlight innovative projects carried out by institution’s faculty and students
    • Organize Hackathons, Idea competition, Mini-challenges, etc. with the involvement of industries.

TJSEC/IIC

TJS Engineering College registered with the IIC in October 2021. It got approved and received the ESTABLISHMENT CERTIFICATE ON 30/09/2021 and we received 3 star rating for our institution in the calendar year 2023-24. Calendar activities, MIC driven activities, self-driven and Celebration activities of the year 2024-2025 have been completed and submitted in the IIC web portal.
