Grievance Redressal Committee

The objective of the GRC at T. J.S Engineering College is to cultivate a responsive and accountable attitude among all stakeholders, ensuring a harmonious educational environment within the college campus. Students can submit their grievances related to academic and non-academic matters on campus through online/by post/suggestion box. The college takes efforts to resolve these grievances within a specified timeframe.

Functions and responsibilities of the Grievance Redressal Committee (GRC)

  • To collect grievances and appeals, to assess the genuineness and suggest remedial measures.
    • The grievances may be related to Teaching and Learning Process, Continuous Assessment, Examination, Evaluation and service-related matters.
    • Complaint raised by a student will be addressed to the chairperson of the GRC.
    • In considering the grievances before it, the GRC shall follow principles of natural justice.
    • The GRC shall send report with recommendations, if any, to the Institution and a copy thereof to the aggrieved student within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of the complaint.
    • Any student aggrieved by the decision of the GRC may prefer an appeal to the Ombudsperson, within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of such decision.
