The Department of Placement at T.J.S ENGINEERING COLLEGE acts as a connecting hub for the company and the students who want to serve in industry. It mainly focuses on the activities that enhance our student’s employability and career development.

The department takes care of the following activities such as

• Skill-gap identification
• Skill based Grading of students
• Pre-placement training
• Training assessments
• Conducting Mock Interviews
• Skill up gradations
• Career Research & Analysis
• Corporate Relationship for Industry Institution interaction such as enabling consultancy services, Tech-Talk, Project based learning, industrial projects, Industry Visits, In-plant Trainings and Internships.
• Career Guidance for Higher education and entrepreneurial & Startup activities

To guide and connect eligible & employable students with the suitable industry to choose their career option after nurturing and fostering technical and life skills.

• Identifying the prospective companies for recruiting the students through Campus Placements.
• Giving awareness to the students about the job description, eligibility criteria and selection process of the visiting company for campus recruitment.
• Arranging recruitment drives in the campus. Collecting feedback from the HR. Continuous follow up with the company for on boarding, collecting feedback about the performance on the job.
• Awareness program is conducted about UPSC exams – IAS,IPS etc., TNPSC exams-Group 1,Group 2 etc.,
• Awareness program is conducted about GATE, GRE, TOEFL, IELTS etc.,

The following steps are involved in the placement process

1. The Campus recruitment Process for the Engineering students will starts from the Day 1 of the college ENTRY of the students by giving Training.
2. Eligible & Interested students will register for the drive through online registration portal.
3. Registered students will be called for an orientation meeting to identify the readiness of the students
4. Based on the need camps would be arranged to train the students just before
5. A day before or on the same day a pre-placement talk is arranged for the registered students to know more about the company through the same company personal.
6. Finally, the recruitment drive will be initiated as per the company norms
7. The results will be published after the completion of the drive through email.
