Admission Eligibility

Candidates seeking admission to the First year B.E. / B. Tech. Degree Programme:

A pass in the HSC (Academic: both +1 and +2) or its equivalent with a minimum average percentage in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together as given below.

OR

Should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of Vocational stream (Vocational groups in A pass in any one of the HSC (Vocational Subject: both+1 and +2) as given below with any one of the Engineering related subjects namely Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry with a minimum average percentage put together as given below.

Lateral Entry Admission

The candidates who possess the Diploma in Engineering / Technology awarded by the Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or its equivalent is eligible to apply for Lateral entry admission to the second year of B.E. / B. Tech. In the branch equivalent to the branch of study.

OR

The candidates who possess the Degree in Science (B.Sc.,) (10+2+3 stream) with Mathematics as a subject at the B.Sc. Level are eligible to apply for Lateral entry admission to the second year of B.E. / B. Tech. Such candidates shall undergo two additional Engineering subject(s) in the third and fourth semesters as prescribed by the University.
